Tigerskin aka Dub Taylor
Berlin, Germany

The turn of the millennium found Germany to be a gold mine of dub-inflected deep house producers, Dub Taylor being one of the more prominent producers alongside Luomo and Mathias Schaffhauser. As Dub Taylor, Berlin producer Alex Krüger scored a sizable dancefloor hit with "I Can't (Fall in Love With Another One)" in 2000, his second 12" for Force Tracks; the track employed a huge, throbbing 4/4 rhythm endrenched heavily in an ambient dub sheen topped off with some sappy New York garage-style, heavily accented male diva vocals courtesy of Per Fourier. The track put Krüger's Dub Taylor moniker on the map (in addition to his host of aliases) and set the stage for his debut album, Forms and Figures, on the esteemed Raum-Musik label in early 2001. Like the I Can't 12", Forms and Figures made waves -- Krüger's deep, minimal style of house and its occasional forays into vocal territory certainly proved itself in demand. Less than a year later, Force Tracks issued another Dub Taylor full-length, Detect. The album rounded up ten of Krüger's tracks from 2000 and 2001, including "I Can't," and functioned as a perfect introduction for the unacquainted. And considering the Force Inc. empire's reach and influence, many were indeed introduced to Krüger's work. In addition to the aforementioned higher-profile releases on Raum-Musik and Force Tracks, Krüger also released Dub Taylor material on the Konfekt and United States of Mars labels.

When one could assume, &ME entered the House and Techno world somewhat out of the blue, it is due to his sublime modesty that’s already captured in his alias. Coming from Hamburg to Berlin in 2004 his talent was soon recognized by folks like DJ Hell or DJ T. who hired him as their co-producer.
Besides, he was playing the clubs (national and international) all week every week and putting his effort in remixes for the likes of Roxy Music, Tiefschwarz or Anthony Rother. But as soon as he dropped his first solo productions, he finally made himself a name in a quite unparalleled way. “F.I.R.” – his first release on keinemusik, a collective of Berlin based DJs and producers, he helped founding in 2009, was a massive clubhit, but in the end not much more than a foretaste of things to come. Releases and remixes on Front Room, Souvenir, Rebirth, Liebe*Detail, Saved etc. followed, his reputation as a gifted producer and DJ extraordinaire spread even more into international realms, and that’s where he stands right now, as his blend of Techno and soulful Housemusic took incredible shape: Many new projects in focus and clearly visible as one of the most unique and original figures in the game.

Eirovīzijas "iespaidus" izdzēšot - WIPE

- You sing sometimes quite serious and sad lyrics. Are you thinking about it?
- Yes. I understand English quite well,
because I have attended English schools since I was very small.
The text of "Gloomy Sunday" is sad.
When I sing it so I think it reminds others that have it sad.
About kids who are hurting. Mum has also explained to me the text.

Man as'ras izsprāgst viegli. Vēl ātrāk kā žūrijai. Sāc domāt par to laimi, ka izdodas ko tādu piedzīvot. Vienkārši piedzimst tumšmatains meitēns aukstā, blondā ziemeļzemē, klausās ierakstus, dzied līdzi ... un sanāk brīnums. Ne no skatuves bail, ne no publikas, - uznāk basām kājām un uzdzied :) Paldies, mazā Andželīna!
